No installation required! JobEJ is a web-based application that works directly in your browser. However, we do offer an optional Chrome extension (available on Pro and Lifetime plans) that makes it even easier to save jobs from any website with just one click. The extension enhances your experience but isn't required to use the core features.
Features
You can add jobs in two ways: 1) Manually through the dashboard by clicking "Add Job" and filling in details like company name, position, salary range, and application date, or 2) Using our Chrome extension (Pro/Lifetime plans) to automatically capture job details while browsing job boards. Once added, you can update the status (Applied, Interview, Offer, Rejected) and add notes, contacts, and interview questions as you progress.
Our AI-powered Resume Builder (available on Pro and Lifetime plans) helps you create professional, ATS-friendly resumes tailored to specific job postings. Simply input your work experience, education, and skills, then select a job you're applying to. Our AI analyzes the job description and suggests how to optimize your resume with relevant keywords and formatting. You can download your resume as a PDF and customize multiple versions for different roles.
The Chrome extension (Pro and Lifetime plans) adds a button to your browser that appears when you're viewing a job posting on sites like LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and more. Click the button and the extension automatically extracts job details like title, company, location, salary, and description, then saves it to your JobEJ dashboard. This saves you time and ensures you never lose track of interesting opportunities.
Absolutely! Each job entry has a dedicated section for interview preparation. You can store common interview questions for specific companies or roles, add your prepared answers, save information about interviewers you'll meet, and keep notes from each interview round. You can also research companies by storing their culture notes, recent news, and key talking points. This helps you feel confident and prepared for every interview.
We offer several AI-powered features: 1) Resume Builder that optimizes your resume for specific jobs and ATS systems, 2) Job matching that suggests relevant positions based on your profile and preferences, 3) Interview question generation based on the job description and company, 4) Smart insights that analyze your application patterns and provide tips to improve your success rate. AI features are available on Pro and Lifetime plans.
Yes! For each job, you can record the expected salary range, benefits information, and any compensation notes. Our salary tracking feature helps you compare offers side-by-side and make informed decisions. You can also set your target salary range and flag jobs that meet your requirements. All salary information is private and encrypted.
Account & Billing
We offer three plans: 1) Free: Track up to 5 applications with basic features, perfect for getting started. 2) Pro ($9.99/month): Unlimited applications, AI Resume Builder, Chrome Extension, advanced analytics, and priority support. 3) Lifetime ($99 one-time): Everything in Pro plus lifetime access, all future features, Chrome Extension API, and priority support. All plans include our core job tracking, company profiles, and interview preparation features.
You can change your plan anytime from the Settings page in your dashboard. Go to Settings > Subscription, select your desired plan, and follow the prompts. Upgrades take effect immediately. If you downgrade, you'll keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period, then transition to the Free plan. Your data is never deleted, though Free plan limits will apply.
We use PayPal for secure payment processing, which accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and PayPal balance. You don't need a PayPal account to pay with a card. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant. We never store your payment information on our servers.
Yes, you can cancel anytime without penalty. Go to Settings > Subscription and click "Cancel Subscription." You'll retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will automatically convert to the Free plan and you can continue using core features. You can re-subscribe anytime if you change your mind.
The Free plan allows up to 5 active job applications. If you reach this limit, you won't be able to add new jobs until you either delete old applications or upgrade to Pro/Lifetime for unlimited applications. Your existing data remains safe and accessible. We'll notify you when you're approaching the limit so you can decide whether to upgrade.
We occasionally offer promotional discounts. Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated on special offers. Our Lifetime plan already offers significant savings compared to monthly subscriptions.
Privacy & Security
We take security seriously. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Our infrastructure is hosted on secure, SOC 2 certified servers. We implement industry best practices including regular security audits, penetration testing, and automated vulnerability scanning. Your password is hashed using bcrypt and we never store it in plain text.
Yes, we are fully GDPR compliant. You have complete control over your data: you can access, modify, export, or delete it at any time. We only collect data necessary to provide our services, never sell your information to third parties, and use it solely to improve your experience. Our privacy policy clearly outlines how we handle data, and we conduct regular compliance reviews.
Absolutely! You can export all your data anytime from Settings > Data Export. We provide exports in multiple formats: JSON (complete data structure), CSV (spreadsheet-compatible), and PDF (formatted reports). This includes all jobs, companies, interviews, notes, and contacts. You own your data and can take it with you if you decide to leave.
Only you can see your job search data. Your information is completely private and never shared with employers, recruiters, or third parties without your explicit consent. Our team can only access your data for support purposes and only with your permission. We don't use your data for advertising or sell it to anyone. Your job search is your business.
We only share data with essential service providers who help us operate the platform (like hosting, payment processing, and email delivery), and they are bound by strict confidentiality agreements. We never sell your data or share it for marketing purposes. Any integrations (like AI features) process data securely and don't store it. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
If you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. This includes jobs, applications, companies, interviews, notes, and profile information. We retain anonymized usage statistics for service improvement but these cannot be linked back to you. We recommend exporting your data before deletion as this action cannot be undone.
Technical
JobEJ works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Opera. We recommend using the latest version of your browser for the best experience. The Chrome extension is currently only available for Chrome-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera). Mobile browsers are also supported, though we recommend using a desktop for the full experience.
Currently, JobEJ is a web application that works great on mobile browsers. You can access your dashboard, add jobs, and update applications from your phone or tablet. The responsive design ensures a smooth experience on any device.
Yes! We support importing from CSV files and popular job tracking tools. Go to Settings > Import Data and follow the instructions. You can map fields from your existing tool to JobEJ fields. We also provide templates to help you structure your CSV correctly. If you need help with a specific format, contact our support team at jobej@kamazoun.com.
Pro and Lifetime users get calendar integrations (Google Calendar, Outlook) for interview scheduling, data export capabilities, and Chrome Extension API access. We release updates regularly - typically every 2-4 weeks. Updates include new features, improvements, and bug fixes. You don't need to do anything - updates happen automatically and you'll always have the latest version. We announce major features in our blog and via email. Lifetime users get early access to test new features before they're released to everyone.
